A chill Melodic House track, 'Birth Of A Year' opens with reversed piano phrases, cut up and rearranged, which then continue under the main piano melody and chords that come in. Distant pads and a reversed beat fade in under the piano parts leading into the bridge where the main bass comes in. 'Birth Of A Year' rides a groovy sub-bass and plays with an organ lead sample, first cut up and presented as a stab part, then, slowly building up to the break where the full part is left to shine. It builds back up and brings in the reversed piano for a second break which is lead by the main piano melody and chords. It then brings back the bass and the beat for an uplifting ending with a lot of groove.
